I prefer British accent too! Mine's probably neutral with lots of elements from a British accent, definitely not American

It was funny back in Uni, my friend and study partner picked American and I had British. Practicing together was fun c':

Ooh i can imagine! I am so used speaking British English to my boyfriend and 2 years ago my American friend came to visit me, i really had to adjust! She had troubles understanding me sometimes and vice versa. :'D

everytime I open my mouth they go 'ooh you're European' ~ and like yeah but not even the country you think I'm from! xD

I had a problem with my oyster card for the subway, a stupid mistake I made and something a local probably totally knows, so when I asked a random employee he was really curt and ill-tempered with me and I know he would've been more understanding if he'd been able to distinguish I'm a tourist and as such don't know everything about London Underground...
