SAAAAME. cept like lacri said, we call those 'cover letters'. I think thats an american term, if CV is british. :3 but idk!
but yeah i have a bachelors of science in chemistry and i have started applying to a lot of minimum wage jobs like just hireee meee xDD and if my cover letter was completely honest it would be like "i want to work for you because i need to pay rent" XDD
lacri's art is amazing!!! but i would appreciate talk of my request on the down low haa just in case ~~ wandering eyes may come across this thread!! and i very much want it to be a surprise ^~^

and yeah... cover letter is british, motivational letter american
and cv is general since that's the term for something else entirely (curriculum vitae) as far as I know
and same here. If cover letters were honest most would be 'I want to work here for I need to be able to pay for food/rent/meds/general life'
I'm so glad my parents help me out right now, I don't know how I'd live without them at the moment...

huh, ive never ever heard the term motivational letter 
yeah im at my parents right now, but i am moving in with two friends in an apt in the city on august 5th! i have enough money for at least 3 months rent, and i do have a job for the month of october. its a seasonal job and itll be my seventh year working there. :P but it is only for a month but i make about $1k so that will last me for hopefully another two months ! (rent + utilities is around 450+/month) but uhhh i still need a job soon v.v i dont have a car and my mom pays my phone bill, so my only other expense is food and since i dont eat much and buy stuff on sale, i should be okay... but still. xP its a bit worrying !!! however i did commit to living with my friends and we are about to sign the lease so i cant do much about that. and really i dont want to live with my parents anyways! it will be easier to get a job when i am in the city and have a way to get places, instead of being stuck in the middle of nowhere without being able to drive
but my dad was like, youre an idiot and if you dont get a job im not giving you money
which is fair xD

I heard of it BUT not for work stuff.., It's mostly used for volunteer here.
I'm lucky too... no way can I afford to live by myself yet!
:D also I'm back- had class and lab
