She follows me around while I put food out. It's really cute. She used to just immediately run from me and now she follows me and meows at me.
So I'm making progress.

There's another cat I never mention that comes by every night.
It's a black and white male cat and despite us feeding him for like a year, he still runs from us.
He will meow nonstop while I'm putting food out and when I take him food, he hisses at me and hides under the car.
I started hissing back at him.

I've noticed there's something wrong with his nose, foot and ear.
They're like...raw and bloody.
I thought I was just seeing it wrong, so I asked my mom to shine her flashlight on him and look.
She saw what I saw.
I don't know what's wrong with him and I can't get close enough to check him out because he runs.
I've been nicer to him lately, so maybe soon he'll let me pet him and I can check his sores out :\

I don't have any personal pictures of Cobb yet, but she's easy to find pictures of online.

Aww. Progress is good. And it sounds like the magpie guy is feral. And sounds like he's been fighting.

I don't know if he's been fighting or if he has fleas and keep biting and scratching himself.
I wish I could get a picture of him, but he only comes by for dinner at night.
You know who else had a sore that never healed? Samson.
We were able to get him to trust us and we fed him and I had medicine I'd put on his sore.
It healed and he never had it again.
But this cat...won't let me get too close.
I'm getting closer to him, though.
He even came up on the porch.
I was talking to him last night, in the sweetest tone I could and trying to get him to come to me.
He didn't come to me, but he didn't run away either.
He was clearly scared of me, but when I talked to him, he talked back.
I gave him some food and some treats and left him alone.

He was meowing at me like he was telling me something.
He wasn't just "Meow meow meow!" he was...telling me something.
I don't know what to do for him.
I have medication I can use, but he won't let me get close xD

The story reminds me of a story I saw on YouTube about a guy who spent a year getting to be friends with a scared orange cat. Orange cat would talk to him, but would run away.

The issue with putting medicine in food is that he won't eat wet food - just dry.
We've been giving him wet food, but he just snubs it and then another cat eats it xD

Yeah, that's pretty much the situation here. BUT I got closer to him last night.
He was on my car and I got about 2ft away from him and he didn't run.
I've got this medicine for helping cats with sores specifically...I know I could help heal his sores if he'd just let me xD

Now that I'm thinking about it...maybe he has ringworm u8
I got medicine for that too, but it'd have to go in wet food...
He won't eat it and another cat will eat it instead >Bu

Wow. I wonder what someone slipped into wet food on him.

I don't know...I mean, most of the cats like the wet food. We give them a mix of dry and wet.
A couple of them won't touch the wet food, though.
The black and white one won't and the calico kitten won't.
I'm not sure if the cat that looks like Momo eats it or not...

Hrrrmm. Weird.

I remember one kitten I had. She'd only eat ONE kind of wet food (she liked dry too), the cheapest and stinkiest.

He let me get pretty close to him last night 8888u
I was less than a foot away and was handing him treats and he didn't run.
He's also been getting closer to the porch and sticking around.
I think I reset any progress before now because I used to hiss back at him when he hissed at me and chase him off my car xD
I didn't realize he had sores on him so I've been nicer to him and he's getting closer.
He came running full speed and leaping over the curb the other night.
He was ready to eat some food.

I don't remember what kind we get, but nearly all the cats love it.
Macaron loves it and he will eat every food pile we put out there =_=
I'll tell him no and shoo him away so others can eat and he just runs right back around >>

LOL You should have named Macaron Kirby.

I'm glad ouchy cat is calming down. Yeah, cussing him would make him back away.
