Yeah, with cold you can manage your body temperature by wearing more and covering yourself, but I always say you can't take off your skin when it's too hot

Was he insane? What was he thinking?

Maybe that disaster was a blessing in disguise for you, that doctor doesn't sound like he cared about you or your baby. Just the thought of coming back to a place with limited resources due to the natural disaster only to have a complicated procedure done... Not only time-consuming, tiring, and stressful but hella risky for both you and the baby. I can't wrap my head around the idea he even dared to suggest it.

I know very few people personally who really prefer hot over cold, but the few that I know sing its praise like it is a bloody religious experience that they can not understand you are not experiencing. :}

I prefer being in medium temperature, I just don't like the extremes xD Oh, and no fucking wind, dog dammit, why's it so windy in my country, I swear it wasn't that windy when I was a kid DX

who doesn't want to live in an area that has temperate temperatures all the way through the year? no hot, no cold, just that same kind of temp all the time. xD

A woman that went to the same hospital as me during the hurricane went into labor and had her baby in my hometown after the hurricane hit and her baby needed emergency attention, but the hospital didn't have the facilities to help her at the time. They discharged her, and life flighted her baby almost two hours away, but she couldn't leave because my city was covered in down trees, electric poles, a ton of stuff from houses. I don't know how he thought I was going to come back into the city considering it was so bad there that Energy (our electric company) had their grid destroyed during the hurricane. In my state, women who have Medicaid are covered for C-sections and the doctors that do them get paid 25,000.00 to perform the procedure so I imagine that's the only reason he wanted me to come back.

@Outline: I suspected it was about the money... What a greedy scum.
@Hot: I mean people are different. Many will prefer to live in warm climate over a moderate one. It's really common for people to dream of living in exotic places because of the constant hot weather. Many will enjoy the seasonal changes in weather. There are people who absolutely love winter and would gladly have it all year long. I bet not everyone dreams of living in a constant moderate temperature.
It's not that hard to believe.
