lol that is quite interesting to think about, now that you've mentioned it. You've got a talent on seeing the interesting side of things.

Spider Bat Riders

I'll never forget that trap door spider.
That's honestly freaky xD

You saw a trapdoor spider? I was always so impressed that a tiny little spider would invest that much effort into a very chancy trap which might so easily be wrecked by any larger animal blundering through.

Not in person, just on videos.
It creeps me out the way they hide and jump out and pull their prey in with them uB

I mean, that's all spider webs, right? Chancy things that can be easily wrecked by a larger animal walking through them.

Yes, but think about the difference in effort and amount between a single spiderweb of the more usual sort, and the layers upon layers upon layers of spiderwebs needed to craft a trapdoor ambush.

Oh? I didn't realize there were that many layers. I wonder, though, if those spiders travel as much as the regular spiders do. The ones in my house seems to abandon their webs and create new ones elsewhere frequently.

Spiders usually creep around in general, but the fact they burrow underground and just wait creeps me out.

I'll never forget the spider that lived on our swing.
It built a little web and stayed a while.
Then someone put up a motion light that shined right on the web.
I swear to God I saw the spider taking down its web and it never came back xD

Honestly, I think it makes more sense. I read somewhere that spiders often don't catch as many preys as they need to sustain their body mass, so it makes sense to wait in one place rather than keep traveling to new locations as the spiders in my house seems to do.

Hahaha I'm getting like, a Hikikomori spider vibe. "Shit, SUNLIGHT? I didn't sign up for THIS shit."

They need to build a web at my aunt's house.
The people next to her are having sewage problems and there's many trash gnats around 8u
Spiders would be getting fat off of them.

That spider was PISSED.
I just sat there and watched it take down its web.
I would have the same reaction >8u

I got some sports tape for my finger because I get blisters on my finger from drawing and it was a pain in the ass to use 8u
