Referring to the need of quoting forms for art, I remember your case because it was brought into the moderator forums for discussion. If I remember right, it was because you were posting the same thing word for word on various different threads while ordering art. While the reason for the act itself was not wrong, it's the full 20g you received from each post that the moderator on your case had a problem with, because you were essentially posting the same copy pasted content, hence the final decision on your reminder. Mene views these things with more scrutiny mostly because of how their gold earning system works. Additionally, if they gave you an exception for that time, it would make way for other people with the same reminder/infraction demanding a reversal for various reasons. It's a rule I am used to, so I don't really have much of a problem with it and understand where they are coming from. xP

Though the Subeta one is a bit too much, I have to say. O.o

I joined back when they opened for beta, around June last year if I'm not mistaken? When I joined, the demand for art wasn't there yet, as not many people had the resources for it. But quite a few good artists came over from Gaia, so there is that to compete with.

Mene is working on a lot of things to increase traffic lately, they've been discussing regular webcomics as well as how to make themselves more newbie friendly without all those starter kit stuff newbies seem to like. There are more things. xD

I was just doing what I do anywhere. Filling out a forum to get art. I don't think that case was me though. I did it once and got a mod warning then I was making sure it didn't happen again. But it bugged me because I still see it as stupid rule. Yes I understand how it work in with the gold gaining but its still something you have to worry about for how you post on the forums. I rather have it so no one has to worry about such things on a forum. I rather have the knuffel way where you gain a random amount.

Yeah On Subeta, I ordered art and started chatting with the artist about KH and got yelled at for it. They were like, "TAKE IT TO YOUR PROFILES!" at witch its hard to keep track when other people are talking to you on your profile so the conversation died right after that. XD

Thats good there working on that kind of stuff. What have they done for it?
I remember feeling well welcomed there when I joined. I still feel like I could come and chat on there now and then. I my not do much on there though.

Whats the deal on there with the Web Comics? I would be interested in that. XD I'm going to be doing more advertising when I get the first chapter up. =3

*nods* Understandable from your standpoint. I was explaining just in case, because we do get quite a bit of lashing from users who are not used to the quoting and no spamming rule. :)

Is Subeta still up, though? I heard some time back they were having problems and may have to close down.

Other than what I have told you earlier, they've did a double post merging system which automatically merges consecutive posts from the same user within 5 hours of the first post so to get rid of the "No double posting!" problem many users have. If there was a double post, it was either made to revive to the topic, or was deliberately done (by overriding the merge). If you have the time, or feel inclined, just pop in a take a look at the new hair colour system. It's fun to play with if you're not fussed with the colour wheel.

There is also the new user tagging/poking, where when you type in a user's username using a certain format, the user would receive a PM informing them that they are being tagged somewhere in the forum (option to turn off notifications possible).
Oh, they've also allowed dice rolling for RPers and raffles etc.
The shops have a preview system now as well.

Yep, the lead site artist was posting in the discussion boards about starting up a regular Mene comic again. I used the wrong term for it, I think. xD

Mene's a bit slacking on the art section lately. Thinking of ways to help improve it is brain breaking.

No they are still around. What happened is that, the owner fired some coders and they wanted revenge and hijacked the entire website! THey could not get it back so they moved the site to a new URL and told everyone to go there. Its still around.
On subeta they have double posting disabled. you just can not do it, it really sucks because if you have an art shop and want to bump it, you can not. =/

But that double post sounds awesome. It makes me want to go there and do it just to see happen. XD

I'll go on there tonight an mess around. I was on a few weeks ago to grab my avatar. I'm going to do a contest on KofK with all my avatars. XD

I like the art on Mene, I'm watching there DA account. XD

Oh. Site hijack, that is... quite extreme. I wonder what the coders did to warrant the sack and vice versa. o_o

Solia has a nifty bump feature I quite liked. Ah, yes, that was one of the things I like about Solia. lol

Oh, yes! I remember another thing. They've re-enabled gold earning for each post made in your thread (0.10g per post made). It was an old feature available before the forum overhaul, it was enabled again to make gold earning a little easier.
