Top worker as in a few others are just quicker and better than him. But others are a lot slower or worse than him.

He's slow but steady and precise from what he says to me. And last 2 Saturdays has worked them. Tomorrow he's working stocktake..

It won't affect his title, there is none. But he'd have to take a day off and just that being such a hard worker the others have to like have 2-3 people who can pick up his not being there. If that makes sense.

Aah, I get it, so there's little replacement for him if he gets sick.

In a way yes. Like there can be others who can replace him but because he's like pretty good it'd be hard to replace him when he's sick.

Especially if those who are better than him got sick too

I really wouldn't be worried too much about it. It's not his fault if he gets sick, it's not something he has control over. It's his employer's problem if he has no appropriate person to replace Peter.

Though it does mean when he goes back to work he has to help pick up the slack from the time he was sick..

Tell him to chill, health is more important than work. I understand you're probably short with money, but still it's not worth it to work yourself to death only because you feel so obliged to your employer and some "slack" that wasn't your fault.

It's a huge company. And only so many night shift workers.

It's amusing in a twisted way because day shift have a lot more workers but do less work than night does. Do way less overtime than night does.

And it's just that kind of company, being abattoir. They have a lot of orders. And I just learned that China owns now part of it...


Btw sorry if I sound rude. Tbh there's not much Peter can do besides just hope it slows down a bit and rest.

Big companies are the worst, because they really don't care about the employees, at least most of them don't. They just care about the results.

And see they are pretty unbalanced as well x.x I get that most people wants to work during the day rather than at night but... the employer should really balance it out.

Uh fancy proper word for meat factory. This one is all cattle. Though the company as a whole, has shares? in other meat companies like Sangers who does more than just beef.
