I just finished this memoir called "West With The Night", by Beryl Markham. She was an early pilot in the pioneering days of aviation, who grew up in Africa; it was kind of a rambling tale with threads from earlier memories woven into more recent occurrences in her life, but she has a neat turn of phrase and went through some truly interesting things!

Now into the most hilarious grammar (sorry, not grammar. Punctuation!) book I've ever come across.
"Eats, Shoots & Leaves", by Lynne Truss.
It's so worth a read, just for the humor. The knowledge gained is merely a by-product.

Actually reading between 3 books currently: Stephen Kingʻs ʻITʻ, R. L. Stineʻs ʻSuperstitiousʻ, and Dathan Auerbachʻs ʻPenpalʻ (though I already read the original post). I try to avoid doing this because Iʻve seriously confused myself before between stories thatʻre too similar, but these topics seem far enough apart even if theyʻre in the same genre.
Iʻve been reading a lot for the last couple years, I wish the very few people around me that I care about would bother cracking a book open once a year, much less finish one once a year. Iʻve encouraged them all to do so. I convinced my mother to start on one (last year), but she sucks at reading and will take years to finish the second installation to Eragon... Only have seen my hubby finish ONE BOOK in our 3 years together, and it was a favourite I used to hoard around with me since Iʻd turned 18. I canʻt recall the title just this moment, but it was one of those books I liked enough to read through again more than once.

Wow that sounds so strange; nearly everyone I know is a big reader...
I'm about halfway through Edmund Crispin's "The Glimpses of the Moon" which is a murder mystery. And thoroughly British. But very entertaining, although I've had to look up a few words because the author has a larger vocabulary than I.

I'm reading Hannibal by Thomas Harris. It's clearly weaker than the two earlier books which is a shame.
