I'm a feminist, but most people in modern society have no idea what it actually means (or that it's associated with various forms of theory and has heirs) or the fact that they uphold many feminist ideas. I'm a feminist from a sociological/literary POV and I guess in current society it could be called gender issues and/or culture criticism (which is apparently current in literary theory.) I've gotten in some pretty ugly misunderstandings, because I'll tell people I'm a feminist and they'll come at me with Male-Sympathy-Defense squad tactics.

Aion allowed me to make very mixed looking characters.

One of my characters was a male healer with long hair and in one group I had a rogue/assassin who would not get off my case about being a "girly fag." I was so pissed I didn't heal them. I told the off-heals to do it. My chara didn't look that girly, I mean he looked young and had long hair, so I don't know what was with that assassin. The tank/leader ask if I wanted the assassin kicked, but I tried to be nice and say it was alright (even though I wasn't healing her.) I think the off-heals let her die eventually, because she(probably a guy playing a girl chara actually, but I go by what people represent themselves as: for the sake of RP and for the sake of people who aren't cis) was such an asshole.

I wasn't hitting on her and she wasn't hitting on me, she's just being a dumbass, because I never met anybody else that stupid on there. I wasn't doing nothing to deserve to be "insulted" (I would consider it insulting) in front of my group. He/she just didn't like my avatar. I'm use to MMO players being rough around the edges, but there's rough and then there's ****head. Those people get blacklisted by players and they should. If ppl are going to give me **it, I'll give them **it, that's how I play with these people. I don't ever flirt with people, I don't seem to be made for it whatnot.

Isn't that five at least? Male and females pretty darn common in mammals as far as we're concerned. Intersex individuals are physically not clearly male or female (but I think the PC term these days is maybe disorder or sex or something), then there are androgynous I suppose by appearance or we mean those who quite literally don't have identifiable genders or can't be gendered. Like biologically asexually reproductive creatures (and microbes.) Then hermaphrodites have two sub-types.

From what I understand gender dysphoria is GID? I don't completely buy into the construct of gender in the first place, so I might be called ...uh, something. I think society has a disorder.

@Aerimyth- No prob, I'm not arguing or nothing. I'm just fascinated by this stuff, you could say. I got some hay fever myself, but it's not too bad unless I'm around horses.

Anyway, them little MMO boys got me all worked up and I think I need to go take a chill pill before I start talking terrible smack and make a worse fool out of myself. All I can think is DMX's Party Up.

Went to the shooting range today with friends (scored 39/60), and we had some vegan food at another friend's restaurant. I still hungry. :X


Going back to the conversation about the GM and character creation; I'd have been pretty pissed if anyone ever decided something like that about my character. Discovering their past on my own is half the charm of character creation, and being told who they are or who they should be or what their past should be like just doesn't make sense to me.

As I see it, the only time a GM should step in on character creation is if the character is ridiculously ridiculous (Sue-ish or a God-mod) or if it interrupts the consistency of the RP.


I'm gonna assign numbers to the people who posted between pages 100-110 and then dig and see if there's a winner tonight. >>b
