I don’t even know how to use a cash register. And yet, sometimes, when the retail ppl have a meeting, they ask me to take over. 8u i’m not good at sales, nor do i know how to use the register, whyyyy are you telling me to do these things? XD;;

For me, when i go out to buy stuff, i hate having people hovering over you, asking if you need help or anything. And yet, i’m forced to be the hoverer when i’m working the retail store. 8u

I have no clue if I was ever off on my drawer when I worked as a cashier since it was a shared drawer regardless of who started the shift (just a different login for the register). I never got in trouble for a drawer being off so I guess I was always fine. Even at the end of my shift, I would leave the drawer at the register because I couldn't even access where they were kept. And I worked closing shift quite a bit back then so it was the closing manager's job to do all of the drawers at the end of the night.

Yeah i know nothing about that. And now my supervisor is complaining about duplicate expenses that i entered. And clearly, i have no idea why that is happening. She’s stressed me out with this, like how am i supposed to explain myself when i have no idea? And then she’s complaining about how i listed certain expenses in the wrong category, like how was i supposed to know? UGH.

I’m starting to feel a bit panicky, my body going hot and cold when i start to panic. QnQ

Tell her that they're making you do a job that
1. Isn't yours, and
2. Have never been trained for as a result, so
3. Of course things are gonna be wrong

In glow, back at my summer job, if you had the booth in your bag you were gonna be short $30. Consistently. Cash control hated it
And then they decided to install a register into the booth so memberships could use their discounts
Money bags for glow don't have coins. If you wanted an exact amount spent you had to use card
And yes, that register made things worse

I hate using registers. People are awful.

Yeah, if you're not trained on it then they shouldn't be trying to make you do it. It's the manager's fault if there's money missing in that case.

If they try to make you cover it again I would either tell them no or tell them that you're going to tell customers that you're not trained for using it so they're gonna have to wait until a cashier comes back.

It wasn’t so bad using the register. I just sent a chat to the retail boss in direct messages on our company site and he came to rescue me lol.

And I was taught to enter expenses. But like it’s hard to train for certain situations so if I did something wrong, like it’s not my fault. 8u ah well whatever.

The registers at the place I worked did most of the math for you which was nice, the problem was the network they were on was super unstable so they would often crash.

Math may well be my worst enemy. I can do basic calculations but anything else and you've lost me. X)

And I've never used a cash register before, I'd be so confused. :D
