My country just elected Trump back into office so I can't watch the news for four years.

My American friend on discord broke the news to me lol. All I said was “I’m sorry”.

The news hasn't been anything more than propaganda and thought control for as long as it has existed. Some years ago I finally found a safe news source that was just cool plant stuff and related technological innovations (like rigging a bicycle to a home generator to provide electricity to struggling households), and then that finally devolved into nothing but politics and declaring who should or should not be elected to whatever office. That stuff is a disease that rots the mind and ruins everything it touches. No wonder the ancient Greeks resented the thought of having to serve as a politician and said the greatest goal in life was to mind their farms, or so said some history book I had.

And that’s why politics suck. Lol

I had to deal with him for four years the first time, and now I have to worry about Project 2025 erasing aid for title I schools that I've been going to college for years to work at so that they can continue to function on what little aid they already get. I'll never support someone who intends on shutting off aid to public schools.

It's not just American's that are screwed either, all fascist 'leaders' in european countries are looking salivatingly at what he will be able to get away with, and look for ways to do the same in their countries.
