You'll get your pick of the Gen I starters once you reach Lumiose City; it's only about an hour or so into the game, if I remember.

We have had X all of 24 hours now, it's not actually mine and I haven't asked my daughter which starter Pokemon she went with, but if and when it gets passed down to me I'm totally getting the Fennekin.

My one co-worker said, if he gets one of the new pokemon games, he'll get fennekin. But since he has a thing against crossdressers he said he'll keep restarting till he gets a female one xD
