Mika; its the polite thing to do to bring food and 'offerings' when visiting...xP probably the reason why i feel bad for leaving a small store to pick up a freebie and not buy anything...xD;;

They never seem upset when I go in to ask for a code and then don't buy anything. I've even had some really cool conversations with the sales associate about Pokemon when I go in. I look at it this way: If they are happy to just give the codes out then it will make someone more likely to come in at a later date a buy something. I've seen several plushies that I want to go back and get.

BTW: If you have a code for Salazzle and haven't redeemed it yet, you can still do so. Just on a whim I tried to redeem mine tonight and it worked!

Aye, yes, I know that. I know fruits are common among Asians, but among younger folks, we tend to do snacks. Not always consistently though, because I mean, sometimes a house is hosting like 15 people for a gathering, so usually only one or two people are designated to bring food. Wouldn't always be able to eat everything otherwise.

Luv: lol maybe it’s just part of my inbred personality then...xP I’ve never seen them upset either but then again if you’re in this business then it’s all about customer service. XP

Mika: lol I don’t do much house hopping myself so I don’t know. I don’t have a lot of friends irl so I don’t get much of a chance to visit people’s houses. Normally they’re just relatives or family acquaintances so it’s my moms “good manners” that has her always bringing so much with her lol.

Ooh, I see. Most of my friends are from my Bible Study; they're folks I grew up with, and their homes are like a second home to me. At once point when we were kids, they were hitting up my cousin's house almost every day.

I have a handful of friends who aren't church friends, but I don't visit their houses as much; we tend to hang out at tea stations or eat out together.

Ahh my family isn’t all that religious except my mom, partially because she was brought up so traditionally so she’s Buddhist. We go to temple around three times a year to give thanks or ask for blessings from the various Buddhas. O:

Ooh, I see. My mom, brothers, and I are Christian, but our dad is a Buddhist monk. XD He lives at one of the Buddhist temples around here.
