Eh, unless danger kitty all they're pettable. Just need to find their likes and dislikes
Like my friend's grandma has a cat who does not like people. She was grabbing stuff and turned to see said cat purring away and very happily accepting pets from me. Even her grandma was shocked, cuz she's about the only one the cat likes

This cat only likes my father and his nurse. She doesn't even let me and my brother pet her.

I'm not very experienced with cats. The only cats I really had growing up were barn cats at my dads and they started out being super friendly, but the more generations they went through, the more feral they got. Got the odd friendly one here and there, but most ran or hissed at you if you tried to pet. I was an idiot child and used to try and corner them. My dad would tell me I got what I deserved if they attacked me.

Yeah barn cats can be hit or miss depending on how socialized they are. There are a lot of strays in the city i grew up in and if you tried to pet one they'd usually swat at you. I was a dumb kid so I got scratched up often.

All four of my cats are extremely cuddly with each other and both me and my roommate if it's cold enough. Normally Milo won't snuggle with me or Pedro with her, but the other two are sharing a blanket next to me right now. In the winter, they might as well be blankets.

seems like cats are hit and miss. XD sometimes you get the cuddly ones, sometimes you get the hissy fit ones...and sometimes you get the odd ones who only like ONE person and noone else. xD;; sounds complicated. xDDDDDDD

Some dogs are like that too depending on breed and their past experiences. I have a yorkie and usually they only really like one person but we lucked out and she loves just about anyone. My mother in law's yorkie only likes 2 people and just tolerates everyone else.

Yep. It really is how you socialize them as a puppy and sometimes the breed too. I can attest with small dogs only having certain people they like. When I lived at home the Chihuahua/Yorkie mix was my baby and he had to follow me every where. One of my poodles loves people. If he can't greet people that come over he has an absolute fit. I usually put them outside or in a room when a repair person is over and he has a flipping fit.

Properly socialized, cat or dog, they'll be friendly
Improperly socialized (if at all), not so much
