Lots of people cut whiskey with other stuff. Cola or water. That way the flavor isn't as strong.

My husband doesn't like it either. He is a rum man. Lol.

You can make a party of it. Invite some friends, try booze.

You gotta get fancy vodka if you're going to drink it by itself. Otherwise it's way too harsh.

I like Grey Goose when I'm feeling super fancy. If I'm mixing I go with Smirnoff.

Oh DC, I didn't know you were Irish & German, how lovely! Which country do you live in right now (I think you mentioned it, but I forgot, sorry ._.)

As I am half Russian I also like Vodka :D I don't like to mix it though. I like it pure, but as you already said, it has to be a good one for that :D

I've loved beer since I tried it. I think I had my first sip with 12 :D
And yes, I like the smell, too.
I actually like all kinds of alcoholic beverages :) Mostly beer and wine though. Longdrinks can be nice, too. But I kind of stopped drinking cocktails. I still like the taste, but a) you undererstimate their effect on the next day and b) there are too many calories :mcheh:
