Don't I know about the hit and miss with doctors. I've had some downright asses as well and they made me hesitant to seek help even when I know I need it.
I just don't feel like they actually take me seriously. :}

Yea.. Our chiropractor, wrist specialist and mom's knee specialist are the only ones that actually take us seriously. They listen to us and stuff and do their best to work with us with in their scope.

Family doc and ALL the others its like... =A= where'd you learn your bed side manner? surely not in a barn because a cow has better bed side manners than you! >:x Are your ears on your head there for decoration or something? DO YOU NEED A HEARING AID!?!

I hear you. It was so frustrating getting a doctor to listen to me, and then another came by looked at my file and just closed it.
Now I am back at square one. :}

Exactly. I had one doctor hang up on me calling me a hypochondriac. Turns out I have a thyroid illness. Only took me four more years and two different doctors to find that out. :}

That's messed up stuff... I do believe they tend to jump to that conclusion... that people are just trying to get something or have paranoia. It makes me not even want to mention stuff. It takes a lot to make me go to a doctor. :mcsad: Plus it's expensive af.

Plus my depression is officially registered and listed in my med file. But all the test and exams I've had at the Psychology office and the conclusions are not.

I only this year found out that these are considered two different branches.

They can't see what treatments I've had for my physical ailments, and the doctors can't see what treatments I've had for the mental ones.

Poorly that means they have been making their own conclusion. It was only this year (when I needed a transferal from my family doctor to visit a therapist for my anxiety) that they found out I don't actually use any meds for my depression as I don't like the side-effects I get. :}

OAO,

Did you know, some people diagnosed with Depression actually have some form of Lyme Disease.. o3o Avril Lavigne has it and talked about how her dr's kept saying depression depression and she was like "no something else is wrong!"

(don't want to scare you... just a little odd fact I learned) >x<

When doctors don't have access to all files (psych and physical) wrong diagnosis's are made >:x

Diagnosing often involves some guess work. Some are better at guessing than others. :P It doesn't help that a lot of diseases have the exact same symptoms. They have to be willing to do a ton of lab work and different tests.

There's a little black kitten on my porch. I have no idea where he came from. :mcshock:
