the only fire alarms i've had were all drills. xD
my sister was telling me that the mall she works at, they had a mall-wide fire drill. and she was one of the people ushering people out of the mall lol. and she was talking to this one elderly who was sitting outside a closed storefront and she was like "sir you have to leave, its a fire drill" and he was like "oh but i'm waiting for this store to open!"
XD

All the ones I've dealt with were drills too
Except for maybe the one on a cold blustery November day back in second grade
There might've been a fire in the construction cuz expanding the building, but they claimed that it was just an accidental trip of a section of alarms that weren't supposed to even be active yet

Yeah I’m glad they were all drills. Real ones would be scary. 8u

The one in November was likely brushed off as an accident so we wouldn't panic. Don't need a bunch of kids aged from...3? There was a preschool system, to maybe 12 years old in a panic
They did end up herding all of us into the bus garage. Still cold, but at least it was out of the wind, and being all mashed together like that, we began to warm up a bit

I’m sorry you had to go through that. Especially with there being little kids. D:

Most of the fire alarms I've experienced were drills but in college we had a few instances were there was an emergency and they needed to clear out the building so setting off the fire alarm was the easiest and most effective way to do it.

Oooh, fire alarms back in high school were cray cray. A few times a student had placed pepper (was it cayenne???) in the school vents, which meant someone had to flip the fire alarm to get everyone out because it made us cough/tear/sneeze/what-have-you. If it was nice out, it was brilliant. If it was cold AF and raining? Awful.

Yeesh
Did they ever find out who was doing that? I went to a small school so naturally the one time someone tried to prank call 911 everyone knew who by lunch
