Congratulations!! May it be a strong, healthy baby!

Nothing new here. Down to the last full week of normal tax season, but we shall see how it goes. Alabama was declared a federal disaster area due to Hurricane Helene, so we have until May 1st to file our federal forms, but I'm not sure how "public knowledge" that is. Alabama says their stuff is due by the 15th anyway.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

My cousin’s wife also just had a baby. It was a c section bc the baby came early lol. But like almost a month I think.

Thanks everyone :qh:
I'm due in September. The estimated due date has already been moved to a few days earlier than the initial estimation. The baby is growing fast, haha.
It's been a wild ride with things falling on our heads right after I found out about the pregnancy. The world seemed to be against us. But it's calmed down now.

@Dream: Then I guess you can enjoy the peaceful times :mclaugh: No drama or hardship is always good. Something to be cherished.

@AsheSkyler: Wow, federal disaster area! :mcomg: I'm so out of touch with worldwide news, I had no idea about the hurricane :mcheh: Or it just flew right out of my head. Did you suffer in any way from the hurricane?

Ugh, you reminded me I have to do my taxes as well :mcdead:

@Hot: And how's the new mom feeling? I heard c-section is a lot harder to heal from than natural birth.
I wonder if there were some other issues for a c-section to be performed? I'm not sure early birth would be a sole reason for it. But you know, I'm not a doctor :mcheh:

she's great? bored i guess lol. i think shes several years older than my cousin (according to my mom, i think there's a story there bc apparently they just moved in together without even telling his mom, my aunt...it was a big to-do lol)
she's still in that healing process where everyone is nagging her not to eat this or that and that she can't go out etc and so on. so yeah, she's bored af lol. XD everyone tells her to get more rest cuz when the baby comes home.......XD

they're calling her a "seven star daughter" (literal translation) bc she was born early. when you call a child "seven stars", you're saying that they're turn into a genius. lol

She should enjoy the peace she has now, when the baby comes home, the party will start XD

Interesting, it's from Chinese?
In Polish we say a person is born under a lucky star or born with a hat on (both just mean a person has good luck), but it usually goes for older kids and adults. I don't think we have anything similar strictly for newborns.

Yeah lol. XD
Yes it’s Chinese. Sometimes kids that are referred as “seven stars” have seven special moles on their body, usually located on their foot.

Nah, all we got was a lot of rain and a few downed trees. Or at least my little corner only had minimal damage. We get worse from tornadoes. I was pretty shocked to find out the whole state got labeled "disaster area". North Carolina got catastrophically flooded off of Helene, they totally deserved the label.

My daughter was born in September too. :qh:
