ohhhhh i see....xD how does it work though? like does he permanently stay at the temple and he doesn't see his family unless they visit? and is it hard on your family knowing that he's not living with you? or has he always been a monk?

Do Buddhist monks go home where you're from? I know some folks become monks for a little while, but during that time, usually they just stay at the temple.

Becoming a monk means living like a monk, and from my understanding, living with family or making a family isn't part of it, since there's separation from oneself from the world.

My family and I don't really mind, since we're all adults anyways, aha.

Oh. Um, what branch/form of Buddhism do you practice, then? Or is it more like, you're Buddhist because it's a family thing?

Aye. A large part of our family's Buddhist, and we've got a couple Christians. Each person's practice works for them. XD

Just finished my 2nd island trial on Ula'ula island. Ready for the Grand trial now then off to Poni island.
