It is true though!

My B.A. was also three years but I never had that many classes :D I had like 20 hours max, but I had TONS of "homework" to do... So yea, in the end I probably had a 50-55 hours week xD

My school was 38 hours I think. 5 days per week.

our B.A. situations aren't that different then, in terms of hours/work to put in! :mcheh: man. aren't you glad that's over? i can't wait for this year to be over and finally graduate :qs:

Yea, crazy, isn't it? But it's different from subject to subject here as well..

I am kinda glad it's over, but it doesn't feel like it's over as I immediately started my Master's :)

right, some courses have more workload than others.

aw :mcconf: but you wanted to, right? since it's kind of different from your bachelor's it's a direction you must have wanted to go. i hope you're enjoying your master's even if it's quite hard work :mchappy: i'm taking a break after my bachelor's, but that's not for everyone. like some of my friends want to continue their studies immediately because it makes them feel secure, have a sense of direction, or they're sure they want to get into academia and not a regular job; they all have their reasons. one of them said she isn't gonna take a break because if she does she'll never get back to studying :qt:

Haha I continued with my Master's exactly for these reasons :mccute: :mccute:
Although I still think that I would have gone back to university if I had taken a break, but I really wanted to stay in this city and to continue studying, so I did :) And yes. Well, I already loved the Bachelor, but the Master is more specific, of course, and I am glad I could stay in my town because 1 year ago I did not feel comfortable leaving it or moving, so I stayed. Right now I would be ready, but due to the break I had with my internship in Ireland I am fine now :D

What are you planning to do on your break after the bachelor?
Do you already know your topic of the thesis? :)

i see! i went to another state to study my bachelor's, and i don't want to live in a student hostel for my master's. so i'm applying only for masters in my home city so that i can commute from home. during my break i want to get a yoga instructor's license and intern with a publishing company :mcglee:

i know i'll apply for literary and cultural studies masters, and also traditional literature masters, if that's what you mean? i was going to have a thesis for my bachelor's as part of honours work but i dropped out of honours for a regular degree pathway. that thesis was going to be about mainstream media that panders to female sexuality or offers a space for women to publicly express their sexuality through fandom; at first i chose kpop and yaoi fandoms to look at that, then i narrowed to kpop. the stuff i'd studied for yaoi still applied; to fanservice, shipping culture, slash fanfiction and stuff like that even with kpop. :mchappy:

Ahh I see. So you get along with your parents/family so that it is okay for you to live there during your master's?
At least you got a plan :)

Oh wow that sounds specific and nice :)
What is honours? Not sure if we have something like that

i don't really get along with my family but i like the material comfort of home... i like having a clean bathroom, and i'm sensitive to outside food and diet changes. after spending these few years outside i feel like i need to go home for a while to recuperate. my health has been affected so i think it's unavoidable at this point. (i'm thinking things might be easier with my family because i'm an adult now so they can't dictate every damn thing, but if it's not, i'll just leave again lol.)
