Something huge and flying just flew into the house and I freaked. OAO I couldn’t find a fly swatter so I took the closest flat object and smacked it. It was as large as a bee but didn’t look like a bee. It was still kinda twitching so I slid it on to my flat improvised swatter and threw it out the window. Then I closed all the windows in fear. Lol

Bugs here in HK are scary af. I think I’ve been bitten by more mosquitoes here in these few months than I’ve been bitten in Canada in years. And my dad got a mosquito bite so bad, his legs are now covered in a rash. Scary af man.

Next to my office is a tire shop and a few mechanics. Mosquitos get SO BAD here in the summer with so many little protected crevices to lay eggs in still water. If citronella withstood freezing temperatures, I'd make a grove of that stuff.

I told my mom and she was like “why didn’t you take a pic before you threw it out?” Like UH. It was huge. I didn’t know if it was dead or not, I wasn’t about to wait around and find out. Lol

My mom would ask me the exact same thing. Then in the rare case I did take pictures of weird bugs she would be all "Why did you take a picture of it? Who would wanna see that?"

My critter adventure today happened in a creek.

PSA: snakes climb trees.

Like, I KNOW we all know they can climb trees. But you don't really remember until you're chillin' on a rock, enjoying the sound of a waterfall, and a big fat copperhead falls from the sky. I'm not sure if he was as scared of me as I was of him, or he was super embarrassed I witnessed his inability to stay in the tree, but he ran off rather quickly. I, however, loosed a very undignified "YEEE", and retreated after he did. No time for photos. I was too busy concentrating on trying to a Star Wars' force push and knock that thing away. XD
