Does not seem like a very smart move on their side.
I mena, if you are not full time and you don't get a good wage, you may get a better offer at any time and leave them!

It doesn’t take much to get a bad rep for a company. All it takes is a review or three and people will stop applying to jobs for the company, even if your company is small. Actually probably worse if its small, if you can’t get employees. 8u

Sometimes smaller business are great because you work in such a small team...or you get the owner of the business being greedy and stingey about everything.

That was the one thing I liked about my bank job. Only about 15 employees (one main building and a branch like 5 minutes down the road lol). So everyone was close, they would randomly buy use lunch, buy snacks, go to the coffee shop around the corner and buy us whatever we wanted off the menu there.. They also threw work parties and even threw me a party for when I quit (which I thought was super generous because I was only there not even 3 years) When two employees had babies two weeks apart and quit after they got their maternity leave, they gave us all a bonus for all the extra work we were doing. Too bad they couldn't pay me more of an hourly wage for everything I had to take over for the people that quit.

I work in a factory
We have a union at the particular facility I'm in
The union and company both have a reputation
Company is known for being bad (upper management, barring maybe a couple people, is full of people oblivious to the day to day)
Union is well known to be useless and let the company do whatever it wants. Several are convinced there's bribery going on

Seems some people have it good, some people have it bad. I know I myself am grossly underpaid compared to the average for newbies for my job. And I have three years experience. :/
