They approach adorable from the Very Goofy spectrum, which is an indirect path but seems to suit.
Yeah.... it mostly just ends up as firestarter paper screws, later.

Lightly drunk things are generally very cute in my experience.
Especially my husband. So cute. And very lovey dovey.
Oh noes. You burn your art? So saaaad. Don't you like being able to look back at it?

Really? Maybe we usually have different varieties, the ones I get have a pretty hard peel, I can't really imagine it'd be pleasant to eat... But maybe I'm just picky with that.

I really like the contrast of the hard skin and the soft flesh inside :D Dunno, never felt weird after eating it or anything like that.

It's funny to me how peoples' experiences with fruit skin goes.
I know people who eat the skin on kiwis, and people who peel it.
People who eat the skin on oranges and lemons, and people who don't eat it together with the pulp but keep it and use it separately, and people who never use the rind or zest at all.
And now with persimmons, too....
I've even met people who always peel apples, as well as the rest of us who eat the peel.

I'm definitely one of the less-peel-eating people, I think :D
I wouldn't eat the peel of a kiwi, although I've heard of people doing that.
I would never have guessed that there's people who straight up eat orange peel! :o I mean, I get zesting it into a dough or a sauce or something, and I do that from time to time (when a recipe calls for it), but I'd never just eat it.
I do eat apple peel though, unless I cook or bake the apple in some way, I don't like it when the apple goes all soft and then there's just hard pieces of peel floating around in it.
How about you Akili?

I use my orange peels separately, so I save it out and candy it or bake with it, or throw it in curries or soups, but mostly when I'm eating raw lemon I eat the peel too because otherwise it's too sour for me.
I tend to always use the peel on apples even when cooking with them.
For kiwis it depends on the variety; I eat the skin of the hairless varieties and scoop out the middle of the ones with hair.
But then, I eat the peel of peaches and those are hairy, too....
I guess I don't use logic!
I think maybe peel habits tend to form based on the food priorities your family had growing up (maybe? It's just a theory); if you were from a region where food and/or money was scarce, you probably eat more of the fruit, and if you were from a place where you had an abundance, you would peel more because you could afford to prioritize other things, like texture.

Chrizine wrote:mem, did you know the fruit under another name? I would expect them to be available in your area, no? When I first heard the name persimmon for it I had no idea they were just what I knew as kakis :D
I honestly didn't know what it was XD Then I saw it, I think I saw it in our supermarkets somewhere. But never cared enough to check the name. Apparently they go by both "persymona" and "hurma" here XD
So yeah, I just never had them and had to google it for many reasons
