PFFT When I worked at the bank, we used to have snacks in the back that we could eat. Pretty sure people saw me stuffing my face many times when they walked in lol. It was usually slow at the bank tho.

Lol i see.
So i was scheduling an uber to pick up something somewhere to deliver to our location. I was patient, using my please and thank yous and somehow it turned into my supervisor asking me that i should be more patient and be better at coordinating people. Like i WASNT speaking to the rep at the other company, asking them to call someone in shipping to bring the package out. Like i WASNT trying to convince the clearly MORE IMPATIENT uber driver to stay as they THREATENED to leave. Like i can’t control how fast or slow the other end works, i’m not a miracle worker, i don’t have eyes all over the world to seek and spy at everyone. Why am i being blamed for being “impatient and not being able to coordinate properly”? 8UUUUUU

We aren't supposed to eat out on the lines
As long as the vpop doesn't catch us and the stuff is in a small resealable bag (or we're in subs, which has a bit more leeway) not even the gm gives a shit

If it's not a hazard. Honestly, I'm in the generation of "as long as you get your work done, then idc what you do."
Wow that sounds kind of annoying. But why an uber? Did you like go get it yourself, or did they literally put package in the car and the driver drove the package to your job? Honestly Uber and those delivery services, confused the effe out of me. I've only used one before, instacart, cuz I was sick with covid and didn't have any food (I was planning on going the weekend, but got sick instead) so I used that. I still feel bad and have no clue how good my tip was for the driver. (I tipped higher than the recommended cuz I felt bad for the person since it was a lot of groceries since I was out of almost everything)

well uber has package delivery services as well. only, i hate it because its hard to see how it is from both ends. 8u like, if you're asking them to receive a package and delivering it to you, you can see whats on the other side (the senders side). and, if you're delivering something, its hard to see whats on the receiving side. 8u like, i can't watch what the drivers do and where they go, apart from what the little app tells me. like if they don't end up in the right place, what then? i literally have to speak to both the driver AND the sender/receiver on the other end to coordinate. but if one side doesn't cooperate properly, then its just one headache after another. xD;;
so yeah, we only use uber when its a small delivery and like it needs to get out, same day. sometimes, we deliver small boxes of raw meat or receive packages via uber that way. but yeah, in today's case (or really in most cases), the package is put into the car and the driver drives away with it. most often then not, the uber drivers are lazy aff people who don't even leave the car to assist and expect the senders to do everything for them. todays incident, the guy was rude and was in a rush and wouldn't even calm down and WAIT for me to coordinate with the sender of the package. they had no patience to wait for the senders to come out and put the package in the car and then, when he finally arrived, he was all "oh i'm in a rush, i have another fare" and i'm like "srs, i know money is something we're all trying to earn but couldn't you finish one job before you start the next??" i swear, he was literally going to throw our package on the DIRTY AF CONCRETE TARMAC GROUND, and the package that was being delivered was FOOD related. LIKE WHAT THE FUGG, are you srs?
anyways, after all these experiences with uber from work, i think i'm gonna swear off ever using the service. 8u

That service sounds very complicated.
And I already hate having stuff delivered the regular way

Yeah I've only used uber like twice and that was last month while in Chicago. Someone else ordered the drive and honestly, not that fun. Not saying taxi's are better, but I hear too many horror stories with uber and other delivery services nty. Also why did he take the order if he's in such a hurry? wth. That makes no sense.

I don't really see them often around here (rural USA with cornfields all around), but I have seen door dashers. Once we ordered pizza from a place and they used doordash for their delivery.
