i work in finance, which we are typically always fast paced in the beginning of the year but it's been so dead its crazy! im worried if February will be the crazy month instead lol
Are hotels usually slow this time of year? I feel like it just depends where it's located, people are trying to get warmer weather lol
Not located in a warm area. And most people travel over the New Year/Christmas, so there's a lull in January.
Currently bracing ourselves for the end of March, this looks like it'll be crazy busy.

I get a sneaky feeling the next month and half will be weird and off for me.
Oh man I have been thrusted a job on me (that I know how to do, but it's more than what I'm used to) and everything is just not happening like it should. I know I left myself a mess to fix on Monday. (It's accounts payable)

That sounds so stressful and frustrating.

You've got all my support
I dread Monday (and everyday really) because everyone is leaving me to do work I shouldn't be doing because I make barely more than minimum wage and end up doing a manager's work and picking up everyone's slack.
Which isn't helped by the fact we have no manager on site XD

I hope it doesn't get too crazy and overwhelming! Although it makes the days go quickly, it can take just a mental toll

Oh, if I have only my own job to do I will somehow manage. The problems will come if I'm expected to be at two different places at the same time, and obviously do two people's (different) jobs at the same time.
Which will happen, I just know it.
And it annoys me because I'm not paid enough to do that.

I should have really pressed that I should do them by myself a few times, but sometimes things don't happen the way it should. And then I tries to teach someone one of my main tasks (which rn takes less than 39 minutes) and he threw away the invoices we needed to mail out. Oh well. I think once I get the hang of it I can do my main tasks still.

What?!
Why would you threw things like that? Why don't these people ask before doing this kind of things?
