ehhh, I enjoy the thought of being able to draw. Doodling is fun. But I've never put time into actually sitting down and studying how to create what I think of in my head, and then practicing.
So based on results, no?
But theoretically, yes....
I've picked up a bit here and there despite myself, just because it's fun to be around, but nothing on the level of Nankuii.

It's really weird though.
Sometimes I draw like crazy well and then other times I can barely draw a stick figure. So strange. lol.

Yeah. If only we had time to practice everything we wanted to do! I haven't picked up any musical instrument in about 9 years, and it used to be one of my favorite things to do. Life just does that some times; you end up prioritizing things you never thought you'd do, and losing other things you thought you'd always keep.

I've been having a little bit of fun with drawing this last weekend though, because of picking up that batch of stained white napkins and turning them into treasure maps for Halloween treats. It's been great, because since they're pretty much just rags at this point anyhow, there's no downside to messing up, and they're all going away anyhow so I'm not going to have to stare at them for years wondering why I couldn't have done it better, so there's just this absolute freedom to try anything.

Aw, that's sad. What did you play?
I played flute in elementary school but then I got asthma so I stopped.

That does sound fun. I'm really glad that you're enjoying it! :qh: :qh:

I played clarinet, reed flute, and something close to a banjo, mostly. For a while there was a bugle in the house and I had a lot of fun playing around with that, but I never did really get it down properly. One of my college roommates had a keyboard they were teaching me, and that was fun too, but I never got beyond picking out nursery songs.

Flute would certainly need a lot of breath control! Asthma would make it hard, yeah. Is it something you still would like to play, if the asthma would let you, or was it mostly just because you had to pick something for school, and the asthma was a good excuse to stop?

Nankuii I think you'll be getting lots of practice, from the look of your art shop! You're full up on your list.

That's really cool. So many instruments! Do you still own any of them?

Oh yah. I would like to play again. My nephew actually plays too. He's REALLY good. I think he got a scholarship for it. Such a smart boy. I'm amazed he's turned out so well. He's my sister's son. But instead of living with me and my mom he got sent off to his dad. Which was good for him. He got a new car for his 16th bday. Wowwee.
