Hehe I just moved away from a place with snowstorms shutting down schools even in April to go back to the area where I grew up where 50F (10C I think) is considered "freezing." :mcheh:

I got adjusted to the snowstorms before and considered 50F warm in the winter (this is when people wear shorts!!), but now that I'm back home I think I'm also adjusting and don't like getting out of my warm bed in the morning haha. Feels weird not to have the heater on all the time though(since I was used to having it always running so the pipes wouldn't burst)!

That was my experience too!
There were not many snowstorms, but plenty of snowing through the winter - which meant everything was covered in snow for months. Roads locked every now and then, short supplies of fresh food, etc. but no big issues.
And now I'm living in a village by the sea, with the mildest climate (not too cold in winter, not too hot in summer) and people think it's freezing at temperatures some people would not even consider wearing a sweater xD

Yuppp.

But looks like its accurate this time lol. Its started snowing and flurrying. And now that its also gotten colder, the rain from before is probably freezing now. 8u good thing i don’t drive, pretty sure bus wheels are a bit more sturdy than car wheels lol.

And bus drivers are usually super expert drivers!

Lol yeah i’m amazed sometimes at the tight corners they turn, how they avoid cars and other buses when there’s like only a few inches of space. XD

Right?
I mean, how can one learn to drive that way?
I'm sure I don't have it in me...

I don’t drive normally either (even in the best conditions; I kinda have severe anxiety around driving), and I knew that I definitely did not want to drive when it’s snowing! Would much rather take the subway and the bus too.

Besides driving buses, driving those big semi trucks also seems super scary and hard!! When I was first looking for jobs years ago, there were a bunch of “no experience needed, we will train” jobs for driving semi trucks but I knew that was going to have to be a hard no for me since I’m already pretty petite so I can’t imagine myself with such a big vehicle. :mcgloom:

But well since I don’t know how to drive, it’s public transport for me! And apart from the wait times, especially in the cold, I’m still glad I don’t have to drive in rain or snow or sleet or whatever lol. XD
