Oh, Rubie, that's so bad! I hope you feel good enough!
And regarding your mother, you surely were wearing a mask while you were in the hospital, so chances are slimer than you might brought it to her. Let's be hopeful!

I don’t like bugs. Sometimes we get an ant or two wandering in and we literally have no idea where it came from. And there was a time where we kept finding these weird bugs that eat grains wandering in our rice…8u glad THAT no longer is a thing, it was unnerving to see black things in our uncooked white rice. 8u

Well I'm feeling better today. But still feeling like I have a bad cold. But I took cold medicine yesterday cuz I thought it was just a bad cold and that helped so still using that. And yeah I tested last night cuz my sister said she had tests, but couldn't find it, so I had to wait for her to go get one from her neighbors. Surprisingly, my sister negative even though she is just as bad as me.
Regarding the hospital: they lifted the mask requirement mid last week? And my mom started telling everyone that she don't want use wearing masks around her (doesn't help half the nurses stopped wearing masks too). Also felt like it was fine since her white blood cell count was almost double than an average person's. But going to stay away until. I know I'm 100% better. Which sucks cuz she cannot be alone at night so rn my brother's wife has been staying with her at night cuz my sister and I are down and my brother is away on business until tomorrow.
I had ants in my bathroom last summer. No clue how they were getting in, but eventually they just stopped showing up.

I'm glad that you are starting to feel better. Please stay hydrated and seek medical attention if possible if you suddenly get super worse. I hope your mom stays healthy too!

Yeah we found out that a cat had brought a (dead) bird in when we had swarms of ants
It was just a pile of feathers and bones by the time we realized

Yeah hopefully I'll be better by the end of the week. Tbh it feels so weird just not having to go anywhere since the last like two and a half weeks it was work, hospital, home, rinse and repeat. Barely any time to myself. And now I'm sick. Granted I haven't had much energy to do anything but once I'm better I'm back to work, hospital, home until my mom gets out.
Oh my god that sounds horrid. In my childhood home, we had a wood burning stove and birds would get in it and die. Don't remember any ants from it. Doesn't help if I don't remember if my mom ever cleaned it out (we never used it) I'm glad my dogs don't try anything like that.

We use our wood burning fireplace cuz it's our winter heat source
It's cooked a few birds before, and wow the cats are always interested in the stove when it happens
Also one of my cats throws up an absolute shitstorm if it's cold and there's no fire. I call her a fire gremlin because of that

KEK
It's not. Not when you have to take out the ashes, dump the ashes, stock the wood, clean the chimney, start the thing
