The electric one will still need maintenance and the TV won't generate heat

I think chimneys do have a romantic vibe to them indeed.
My parents had one, and I must admit it felt great. But it's a pain in the ass to take care of indeed.

Actually I think there is something that I like better than chimneys, and that's old fire kitchens.
You know, the ones completely made of iron, where you would burn wood and you would cook your food on top of them.
And the whole kitchen would be warm, and the family would always gather around it.

Like this.
Not sure whether they were common in other countries though.

Yeahhh i guess that’s true, about the tv fireplace…8u but like…its the ambience about it. XD
Sadness though, guess i’ll never have a fireplace…8u besides, too much work lol.
Wood burning ovens/stoves seem kinda cool.

My family had one of those fireplaces in my childhood home along with a wood burning stove and they were a lot of upkeep. Cleaning them out was definitely not romantic in any way.

Its probably for the best, they are a lot of upkeep and to be honest, if you have an old style one and don't know how to use it, you can accidentally funnel smoke into your house.

Oh that doesn’t sound good. 8u wouldn’t want any living space smelling like smoke. XD;;
