Oh, yeah, there's some good dubs out there 8u
Some people can voice act u8

But some of them, I don't know if they just can't do it right or if they're trying too hard to do it right xD

It's weird because people do fine in American cartoons and movies and tv shows, but with anime - they just flop o_O

I don't think I'm good at mimicking anyone.
There's that style meme I've been wanting to do, but I lose momentum quickly.

I don't think they try much. It really just sounds like they're reading a script and not putting effort into it. Like a parent reading a bed time story when they'd rather be else where.

I think another reason why stuff always sounds so fake, Japan, they do their voice acting in groups so everyone can react to each other's lines naturally. America it's all separately so they have to rely on a silent character's facial expression and body language... they also gotta make sure their lines match the lip flaps.. o3o Burst Angel bloopers man... the bloopers... them lip flaps!


Then there are times they try to 'mimic' the original Japanese VA and fail, like K-On's english dubs or the Re-Dub of Sailor Moon 1992. I was so excited for Sailor Moon's Redub =A= proper names, nothing cut and remixed... then Usagi's new voice actress tried to mimic how the original english voice actress sounded and I just hated it. >:x



I think I do well mimicing people.. o3o the other day my friends and I were on discords voice chat.. i mimicked one of those hentai anime "Sen..pai.. don't QAQ" =w= everyone was all "YOU SHOULD DO ANIME PORN!" x'D NOOOO!!!!

I don't think I'd be able to voice act xD
My voice usually stays monotone.
Once in a while, I'll change tones.
My voice also gets to where it...gets gravely and people ask me "What's wrong with your voice?"

I tried to watch one of the Sailor Moon movies I found online, but it was the original 90s dub so I closed it Bu
It irks me so much that they slaughtered the 90s dub xD
Changing names and genders and all that shit.
I did like the original VAs from the 90s dub, though 8u

yea the MMO you buy the base game and then pay for the subscription, not sure if it's monthly or not. Apparently you can play for free up to like level 30 or something tho. like a trial.
