Lolll maybe it’s best to keep it uncovered. What if this kind of situation happens again when you’re asleep or something? XDDDD;;

It needs to stay uncovered because of the floating plants, but needs to have some covering when I have the windows open in the winter too help keep the tank warm.

My asthma can only take so much heat the neighbors pump up to me. xD that and I tried actual cleaning chemicals to get this stain off my kitchen floor.. its been since.. wednesday since I used it and I can STILL smell them x-x I have a hard time breathing in the kitchen... never wanna use that stuff again.. that and the stain didn't come up.. didn't come up with bleach either. >:c


just vacuumed again. well partially.. got the rest of the hallway and living room to do yet. might have to vacuum day of inspection as well.. hope not >:x back is hurting just from the cat room and my room and half the hallway x-x

So it’s usually uncovered unless you open a window. Well at least you’ll have less wet cats that way lol.

Pretty much. It's safe during the summer but the winter causes the tank temps to drop too much. don't want a sick betta on my hands.

Ahh maybe there’s a way to keep water temps at a certain temp? I think there are like aquarium water heaters or something.

I have 2 heaters in the tank, but since there's no lid, the outside air affects the tank. Which is why the living room window is normally shut in the winter. But that day, it was just far too hot, I couldn't breath. x-x

I see. That sucks. Isn’t it possible to only open some windows and leave the windows where the fish are closed?

Sadly no.. I have 3 windows total, and to get any air flow to cool the place down, the living room window has to be open. The layout of the apartment sucks when it comes to air flow. =w=
