I was watching this show on netflix with two girls from Canada. They had like a valley girl accent, but not completely like it. And I noticed the same accent with one Canadian youtuber I watch (Granted it's been a while since I've watched them). It annoyed me enough to stop watching the show.
I never realized I had an accent until someone told me they liked my accent lmao. I live in the midwest, so I have a midwestern accent. I do say ope a lot. lol.

Canadian accents are totally a thing. One of my husband's favorite youtuber has a Canadian accent and most of my extended family does too.
Valley girl accents can get a little annoying until you get used to them.
My husband and I will judge Boston accents when we see movies or shows that are set in Boston because we both grew up in that area and have accents. So far some of the best and most accurate accents have been the young couple at the beginning on the Boston Strangler episode of Criminal Minds, everyone in Session 9, and almost everyone in the Boston bombing movie.

Real talk for a moment: Can we Go back to that month that Pokemon Go was released. Everyone was so happy and the only people down my throat were old men at work who complained about a cell phone app kids were playing. Can we have that? Please.

Accents are really fun tbh. I actually really like people's accents when English isn't their first language.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk with a Boston accent outside of movies/tv shows tbh.

Movies and TV shows tend to exaggerate it, but we do drop a lot of Rs at the ends of words and a lot of our softer A sounds become longer. Basically, we're lazy and don't complete our words. We also swear a lot, like a lot a lot.

I had a speech problem as a kid (I could only speak like 5 words for the longest times) and had to take speech therapy. I tend to over enunciate words or when I'm talking fast I slip and end up missing syllables and mispronouncing words. Got made fun of for both putting more emphasis on certain syllable and saying words wrong. I could go for an accent that let me skip finishing some words.

I felt that last time, granted I didn't really have the time to post the last time the candy caravan was here. As soon as it left I think I've already gotten more than when it was here.
