I'm pretty sure it's got plenty of caveats, that being one of them, and another being that if you want to see an animal, you definitely won't! It's gotta be unexpected, in other words, a nice surprise. xD

Are there any outdoor cats in your neighborhood (that you know aren't strays)? It's winter here so we don't see them outside anymore, but once the temps get nicer I can expect to see some now and then. Is that the case for you too?

Not really, no. There are too many predators around where I am, so non-stray cats are indoors only. (Every once in a while a new family will move in and think that their outdoor cat will be just fine -and then either the cat comes home a mess and they patch it up and turn it into an indoor cat, or the cat goes missing and their replacement cat eventually is an indoor cat. So, mostly, no.)

Yeah, that's really unfortunate. I've personally never liked the idea of outdoor cats to begin with, for numerous reasons, one being DANGER there are cars and other animals, why??? And the other being the whole thing with bird populations getting decimated, so yeah. But I still feel bad for you because seeing random outdoor cats and petting them is definitely fun!
