oooooh moving! i've never moved before.
i haven't watched criminals minds in so long. i think they actually have it available on disney+ lol. i've been watching random episodes of other crime shows like The Glades and Lie to Me.

Moving is super exciting and super stressful! I am not looking forward to moving again myself... It's only when you start packing that you realize how much stuff you have and ask yourself whyyyyyy XD

LOL can you imagine if irl conversations are like, someone says something, then you stare blankly at them and on your forehead there's a display going "thinking... thinking..." and then you say a super sophisticated and good paragraph.

Natusyuki, do you think it also has something to do with a culture's expected speed of reply? I remember the first time I went to a city, my first impression was "why are people speaking so QUICKLY?"
And I couldn't compose my responses fast enough, so I started talking in a more truncated, abrupt manner, and far more directly. When I tried to converse at what I'd always thought was the more normal pace, people would get impatient and interrupt (well not technically interrupting, because I hadn't started talking yet, but the pause they gave for a response was so much shorter that I was constantly confused, wondering if they were finished yet, and did they even want to really know if they didn't let me reply after they asked a question?).

Then when I went home again people would tease me about the city "corrupting" me because I was "talking so rudely"; but the conversations opened back up again, because the cultural expectation was that everyone was given a fair bit of time to respond in.
Of course, you were also supposed to pay more attention to people at home than in the city -it also seemed like everyone was multitasking there, and only paying attention in a peripheral, after-thought-ish sort of manner.

So I dunno.

But... I wonder if we aren't trained in filtering our thoughts before speaking because many societies have set shorter and shorter time expectations between speech and response...

i dont own a cellphone so i've only been using apple products all my life. started with apple itouches. xD and i've only used itouch. pft. although, my work tablet is also apple. xD

Hmmm it could be cultural, I have noticed that the Chinese people around me talk a lot faster than Canadians LOL

But yeah the world's getting more fast and impatient nowadays, some days I feel so tired just trying to keep up!

I also started with the itouch, then went to iphone 5 and an hand-me-down 6. But then apple's system and short battery life got to me. I switched to Google Pixel and never looked back!

is google pixel good? 8U everyone (mainly my parents) keep telling me to get a phone......but like.....i dont want one? i wouldn't even use it for calling, i'd be playing games on it all day if i could. xD
