Chinese is indeed a language best learned by actually speaking it. Nice that you have people that can help you practice. :}

The speaking part is the most difficult one xD But I can finally remember a few signs. I try to learn Chinese 4 times a week (as well as playing guitar), let's see how long I can keep it up.

I'm certain you'll be bale to find a way to keep that going.
And awesome that you are learning guitar. I used to know how to do that, and sometimes i miss it. :}

I try, learning guitar is fun, but it's great to see that one gets better, but that does only happen if one does it regularly.

I've always wanted to play guitar, but I suck at it. Just cannot get the hang of it.

There is right now simply too much going on in my life to dedicate the time it would need to get reacquainted with the instrument.
Hopefully life will get a little less hectic soon and I can find the moments to spare for something like playing an instrument. :}

Merry, I feel you! I think that I still suck at it. My friends are like "you are doing such a good job, you just need practice!", but imo I am too bad considering that I actually started learning it a few years ago.

Considering you're learning at least a thousand things at once, I don't think you're failing all that much

Haha I guess that is my problem - I am usually interested in too many things at a time, leading to me learning many things on a peripheral level....

As long as you are having fun all is well right.

Nano is starting in a few days and I hope I'll find the time to actually write the 50k words needed to win this year. :}
