Uhh, that's a shame.

I'm kinda a loner too but I can generally make friends reasonably easily if I try, I just tend do be more timid. What's your favourite class?

Well a bit of everything except strings I think.. There are just basics, first the most of us are learning to read sheets and then we're trying many different kinds of instruments, piano, vibraphones etc., percussion: like drums, maracas and some others :3 But just the basics (amateurs ^^°) but if we have a concert everyone plays that instrument he have learned :3 In our class we have people who play: piano, violin, drums, saxophone, clarinett, guitar and the rest that can't play anything will play the percussion xD triangle etc.. nah you know xDD some uncomplicated instruments

Hee, the compulsory music classes covered reading sheet music, fingering for acoustic guitar, a little bit of drums and a bit of keyboard piano. We never did any clarinets or recorder or anything like that. We didn't have to do a performance in front of everyone though, I'd be hella scared. @_@

The most we had to do was play the instrument we learnt in front of the teacher to pass.

Whaaat you had to play the instruments to pass?
We have just written exams o.o Theory..Last year we had to sing (and after that we were getting a note), but that was all..

Oh, we have quite many performances.. on the summer concerts and the advent concerts owo And the days of the open doors? x'D Dunno how that'd be translated into English ^^°

Hmm, I'm not sure what that'd be translated into, is it kind of like when parents and potential students come in to see the school sort of thing?

If it's an actual festival though I've probably got no idea.

We have theory as well but it's not so much a test as something you need for the overall mark. Kind of like if you're doing science you'd need so much in class work, so much in assignments, so much in exams and so much in practical sort of thing.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant :DD

Our tests have always included e.g. some composers Bach, Chatschaturjan, Dvořák etc. And we had to learn what they were doing and how they were living :3 and of course their Opus' (compositions) .. and we were learning the structure of Sonatas and Symphonies.. etc. and then we had to hear one of them in the practical part of the test and describe the progress of the piece and mark all the places where the different theme's were beginning.. well ... öuö''

:O Oh oh oh !

We also got to watch disneys fantasia because of all the music in that and it was so pretty. We basically spent whole lesson just watching it, it was the best music class all semester <3
