Dream do you participate in NaNoWriMo? I tried last year for the first time. I didn't get much written though. I don't think writing's my thing.

I've been competing in NaNo since '10. And for the last 2 years I didn't get much writing done either as there was to much on my mind.

If you like writing you should do it. Who knows, maybe you just need a different voice in your writing. :}

I thought about nanowrimo once
But I'd just done Inktober for the first time last year and going into writing right after would've hurt too much

I did end up with a plan for this year's Inktober tho

That could be one of the reason's this years nano didn't work. Had just finished my First Inktober. :}

I can't do art with all those rules. lol.
I can barely do any on my own time.

What rules. The only inktober rule I followed was to make one Inkpen drawn drawing each day.
Sure you can follow a prompt list but those are not mandatory. :}

That's what I meant. Like structured art?
I don't think I could make art on demand everyday.

Though it would probably help make me a better artist.

I think that part of why I failed at NaNoWriMo this year was that I had too many other projects going on and I didn't have a clear idea of where my story was going. Just a vague concept and a few scenes.

I've never heard of Inktober before. *wanders off to check it out*

I feel your pain. I just cannot focus on one thing at a time.

It's so difficult to get anything done.
