I'm actually considering a Slytherin tattoo as well, but I'm not sure what it should be yet. Same goes for my cat.

Watch out with artists who might not me as creative as they seem, that's why the kitsune was such a disaster xD
I'll only return to him when I've got the exact image ready to be copied on my body, 'cause then his work is amazing. But I'm never trusting him again with just an idea...

Well yeah, that's exactly it. The other day she was meowing about having the crest done on her forehead, but I talked her out of it. It was just too much. We are now considering a sleeve on her left front paw.

I'm considering having her pawprint done on my neck under my right ear, because that's where she always puts her paw when we're cuddling. But it's a very tricky place of course, and maybe a bit boring...

a sleeve would certainly be a good beginner's tattoo, a crest is too much for her first tattoo

Yeah, it's cute and sentimental, and maybe boring is not the right word. I feel like she deserves something more special though. And it's a place you can't hide well - but then again, I can already forget about jobs where they have to be discrete because of my wrist tattoos, and I'm already in trouble in Japanese onsen, so who cares xD

hmmm maybe you can get a pawprint but with a heart in the paw? the part of the paw that's without fur in the middle, could almost be heart-shaped.

it's not completely okay- there are jobs you won't get if you have a tattoo, and people pass ignorant comments sometimes or make weird assumptions. but those are exactly the kind of people i want to avoid in the first place, and this way they're sort of filtered out for me. and like Merry said, jobs which have a problem with tattoos aren't jobs i'd be comfortable working in; they'd probably be narrow-minded about other things as well. my family was NOT happy when i got it but then they weren't happy about me cutting my hair into a 'boy cut' as they called it, either. i'd like to push the bounds of autonomy i have over my own body, and also i just want to wear what i like and decorate myself the way i like, yanno?

Yeah I'm not quite sure what kind of Slytherin tattoo yet, that's the thing... A crest would be awesome, but there are so many different ones now that I wouldn't know which one to pick, and I don't know what the right place would be. Actually I've considered placing it where your clover is, but I don't want my arms to get too cluttered. What I think would be massively awesome is a snake curling around my ankle, but that would be quite huge and not necessarily Slyth, so I have to think about that really well.

Nah, the heart inside the paw would be way too cliché and sugarcoated for me. If I do it, it's going to be her paw print as it is.

I still don't get what the big deal with tattoos is... As if we'd be worse at our jobs than our non-tattooed (possibly less creative/open minded/daring) counterparts

haha, I am also the rebellious one in the family xD I have 7 ear piercings (that was the smallest problem though), then my 4 tattoos and the thing that I am a vegetarian xD
With each tattoo my parents are like "But that's the last one now, right?"

Mhm that's very difficult, indeed. Maybe think about artefacts which are considered typically Slytherin or played a big role in the books? What about a wand with a snake maybe? Then it would be still a snake, one sees that it's about magic --> Harry Potter. But the place is still difficult, although it would look nice on where my clover is I think :)

I am still working on my arms, both my next tattoos are gonna be on them, too. It just feels unbalanced xD With the forgetmenot it's going to be 4 on my left one and with the other one planned two on my right one.

Hahaha it's funny to hear your stories, it's kind of the opposite for me. I started whining about my first ear piercings when I was a toddler, literally. Finally got 'em when I was eight, even though my dad had said for years I could only get them when I was ten, and after that he just mumbled some disapprovement every time I got a piercing. Got my last one at 16 though, so it's about time I get a new one! That's also when I got my first tattoo without my parents' knowledge by the way, and they just sighed. And it was during my vegetarian period, which I quit after four years
But somewhere along the way my sister took over the rebellious role from me... She went strictly vegan and her boyfriend is trying to become a tattoo artist, so she's all covered in black. She wins this one. xD
So basically, my parents don't really care, they're used to it. As a matter of fact, my mom started with the multiple earrings and the nose ring, now that I think about it. And my dad started with the tattoos xD
And my recently dropping meat again wasn't much of a bomb shell either - in contrary to my vegetarian period during my teens, I'm actually the easy eater now, compared to my sister.
Edit: Although, now that I think about it, I think I had them a little shocked when I had my locs done. Managed it after all!

Yeah I've been thinking about having it twisted around a broom, which I would probably place on my leg. But I'm not so sure.
