Well, I guess I got some new BL to add to my list that just keeps growing. Because I don't read fast enough to keep up with everything I add on it.

I really like old school anime/manga. I love seeing how stuff that was the norm when it was written is out of date now. I was reading one, idk, I think from the early 2000s or the late 90's last year and I kept thinking "just call him!" then I remembered that cell phones weren't as prevalent as they are now.

I don't follow bl or gl so I'd be a bad one to ask for recs in those departments lol

I would say I read it for the romance, but I can't say that lately because I started reading bl webtoons with questionable plotlines.

That's okay. I read a lot of fanfiction with questionable plotlines.

That's fair. I have a few favorite plots.

Bleach after the war and things should be calm but Ichigo is still on edge with his hollow half and somehow ends up in Las Noches and becomes one with his hollow half.

My Hero fics where Izuku does have a quirk but its regeneration quirk, and he's super unpredictable because he doesn't care about whether or not he's gonna get hurt or break anything.

Aaaah, BL and odd/crazy/quirky fanfiction plots, what decade are we, lol.

For real though, I love quirky fanfiction plots, well, fanfiction in general. And BL, though it's been a really long time since I've read any, or read manga in general, so don't ask me for recs, I can't remember names, lol. I will def take recs for BL fantasy though, as I'm not a big fan of more realistic or slice-of-life things, which the other BLs mentioned sound like, lol.

As for questionable plotlines, I really like self-inserts (alternately known as OC-centric), my guilty pleasure. It's almost all I read, oops. Or Harry Potter heavy AU BL fics with Harry × Voldemort or Tom Riddle. Very questionable tastes. ^^;

I’m more tame when it comes to plot lines. Nothing too extreme for me lol.

And those BLs I recommended, they’re not that long lol. Just a few chapters, they’re not like several volumes. Just a simple short read. XD

i feel like one thing BL and fanfiction have in common is how wild and experimental they can go with their content, like nothing is off-limits that can be both a good and a bad thing, depending.

Yeah that’s true. But I’m still kinda vanilla when it comes to plots, I’m not really into anything too extreme.
