I'll think about it. Not this month though, I have a bit of a cold and the flu is going about. I know my body well enough to know it likely will get infected when I do it now. But late next month should be fine. :}
And it is an absolute fantastic sport. :}

Yay, hurray for new things coming up then xD!
Indeed! A good friend of mine is practising it and she always has bruises from it. And it's really good for the whole body :)
So is bouldering btw xD

Bouldering is fun. Once asked my best friend to have a test class together. Turns out she freaks out about it. So that was a nope.
What are your thoughts about kickboxing classes. :}

Oh was it the height? It's only now that I talk about bouldering sometimes that I discovered that quite a few of my friends are actually afraid of heights :o
I also made so many great friends and met nice people through this sport! It's so easy to get in contact with people ^.^
I finally had some time to play volleyball again yesterday! I met a few acquaintances there, it was fun :) But I really sucked in the beginning xD
i haven't tried kickboxing, but I might one day. One friend takes kickboxing classes and she is really fond of it.

I love bouldering, but I have to travel a bit too far for it to be convenient. I still have a lot of turns om my card which are going to expire next month :(
I'll be going this Sunday though! I only have one friend who likes bouldering as well, but she lives on the other side of the country...
I've started taking taekwondo lessons, and they also do kickboxing at that school. So maybe I'll try a lesson when I'm comfortable with taekwondo ^_^

Actually it was the safety harness. It reminded her of a bad experience and made her anxiety peak. I'm actually a bit queasy about heights, but when I'm strapped up safely I'm okay.
Taekwondo is one sport I have never been interested in doing. Yet I have a lot of friends who have done it at least a few times over the years. And I love most other martial arts.
Are you having fun? :}

Actually, that's climbing, not bouldering. Bouldering is done without a harness, at lower heights. I think our boulder wall is like 4-5 meters or something? It's more about technique and muscle building, some walls are leaning over at you for example, so it's more than just getting to the top.
Yeah, I like that there's more to it than just fighting. The game aspect is sparring, but there's also a lot of self defence to it. And it's really exhausting, so I guess that's good xD

Yes, bouldering is without being secured in any way. And indeed, the walls are probably about max 5 m high. I hurt myself a little bit, but not because of the height, but because I am not cautious enough with my elbows and legs xD
Taekwondo must be fun! I like that it is also a bit self-defensive, I would love to try something like that!
Btw, my job at my uni got prolonged untli the end of September (just 33 hours per month, so no big deal, though they offered me 40, but I couldn't do that with my thesis xD). So yay, seems like I am doing good work :)
Merry, then you gotta use those remaining turns on your card! It's annoying that they will expire otherwise, ours don't :o

Ah my bad. I had the terms mixed up in my head then.
Now I want to look up if there's a local bouldering location. :}

I know exactly what you mean, Julie! The very first time I went up against a wall, grabbing my very first boulder, the very first darn thing I did was scrape my elbow across the wall and it was bleeding something fierce, so I had to come straight down and back to the guy at the reception who was already grinning from ear to ear x'D
That's the thing, it's not just a bit self-defensive. There's a whole array of excercises of how to get loose from an assaulting grip to breaking free and nearly killing the assaulter in the process. And mind you, they work, no matter if it's done by a tiny gal like me or a massive bearguy. It's actually quite scary at times to perform these excercises or worse, have them performed on you, because if you try to fight it, you can easily end up with your arm broken... But that's part of the fun, isn't it? At least I feel a lot more secure now that I know I actually stand a chance if I'm ever attacked.
That's very good love! Congratulations!!
I know, but I haven't been in a mood to do things alone lately, and I have to travel to another city for it... All in all the mental obstacle is too high for me at the moment. But like I said, at least I'm going one more time with a friend tomorrow
I would still have the entire month of March to use those turns, but I'm going to be in Sri Lanka then, so that's not working out so well xD
