Yay for the paperwork, but sorry to hear about the cold, I hope you will get well soon!

As do I. It's a normal cold, but with that Covid-19 going around now I'm extra careful. Don't want to risk getting that because me health is a bit down. :}

Indeed!
Do you have that in your city?
'Cause we do. And some people are panicking, they buy food as if an apocalypse is coming. Some events with more than 100 people partaking are cancelled.
I don't really care. It's like a flu, so I am not scared.

Don't know, probably, but our government only gets people tested that are really sick. So likely we have some mild cases in town that are unregistered.
Oh yeah, the pack-ratting is going on here as well. And for the weirdest things, like toilet paper???
I'm not prone to panicking about this. You either get it or you won't, life's that simple.
An event I was looking forward to in about 2 weeks though did get rescheduled. (Luckily for me it now is going to be right after I get my vacation money, so I'll have money to actually spend there)
Anything you were looking forward to got cancelled? :}

Pack ratting toilet paper isn't weird! Have you never been without? :mcargh:

I'm certain a single person does not use forty+ rolls in a period of 14 days. Buying extra, I can understand, but buying enough for a whole year in case you get quarantined for 2 weeks is too much.
And yes I have had a period I had to do without. Luckily we had a newspaper prescription. Did get a bit messy though. :}

I'm so glad I'm not around to see all that madness. I hope it'll have calmed down a bit when I return next week. I'm only worried about my father, as his health is horribly low right now and he's been admitted to hospital again, so every disease is too much. That's the only reason I might self-quarantaine when I get home.

Or maybe I'll just opt to extend my stay here :mclaugh:

Yes, we are also low on toilet paper and cans and pasta. People are going crazy here. But it's really bad in Italy now and statistics say that Germany is basically 8 days behind Italy, so the apocalypse might hit my country in less than 1 week. I did my normal grocery shopping, got everything I wanted.
People in my city are ill already, the first person died (an 80 year old man). Universities, schools etc. are closed.... I am lucky that I've already finished the research on my master thesis, otherwise I would be screwed :qhehe: Oh, I feel like I signed a contract with the devil or something as I now officially started my master thesis (even though I have been working on it since October, lol).

And yes, many things got cancelled/postponed... I wanted to go to various concerts in the next month and I was reaaally looking forward to them all, but they are all off..

I am also worried about my dad

When I did my groceries yesterday I seriously had to ask the staff of one shop to call the other location to ask if they still had milk.
Apparently it's human nature to hoard in times of stress, but every shop tells people "We have more than enough, we are not running out, there is no need for hoarding", and people still take everything and then some.

Going into self-quarantine might help. I just hope you'll be able to fly back. Who knows what they'll do next. They could close all the less-than-necessary transportation.

Just be safe. The both of you. :}

YES, so true! And then people who really need toilet paper or food can't get it - so annoying!
The worst is that my Mum is like that as well :mcsweat: :mcsweat:
