Sounds paradox, yea :D

Thanks, I might check it out! I am actually watching 'The man in the high castle' on my own, and 'Elite' as well as 'La Casa Papel' with friends. When it comes to movies I usually choose a teenage comedy/romance or a Ghibli movie. :)

I am actually pretty busy with my thesis, practising guitar and looking for jobs.

It works in a way. I have saved a few job offers (about 30) on linkedin and I am going through them now. Even if the positions are not open any longer I still check out the company, look at similar ones etc. I found one interesting trainee program, but this starts in April every year. Unless Corona influenced that lol. But I am looking for something starting in September or October. And for now I am just looking in Germany, but if I shall find more motivation I'll have a look into Dublin and Sweden as well. But you are right, new jobs are not really a thing atm.

I guess this is a good time to orientate yourself on what it is you want for the future. Hope you'll find something great. :}

I don't know whether it is a good time or not, but I kind of feel more pressure now xD

It's a good time to take a breather and take the chance to prepare for when things return to normal. For working people this is a great time to take a home course and develop some skills, for example. I myself am taking a home course nailstyling to make a few extra bucks while doing something creative again after all this is done.

That's indeed a good way to spend your time.
I used to know somebody who could paint complete masterpieces on people's nails, so it is definitely something to vent your creativity. :}

Oh that's cool, Merry!

I cannot sit down and do something artsy and tell myself 'let's get the creativity going'. For me these are all flows which come unexpectedly and spontaneously. If I have one, I usually end up writing something down. I wish I could draw better, then I could draw my next tattoos. But whenever I try and take a pencil in my hand, draw the first line, I am always like *fu*k this sh*t, it looks like cr*p" :D

I can't do that either, I suck at true creativity. But I have some tricks up my sleeve. What helps me a lot is that my mind twists my memories. I see something at some point, think "that is cool", I need something like that later, I recreate it, and it turns out what I made looks entirely different from what I've seen. Ergo, I've created something new and people think I'm super creative, while I actually stole it badly xD

Things like nail art are easier for me because you can just be random and people still like it, as long as it looks neat. It doesn't have to look like something, as long as it looks fun or elegant, colorful or fancy, whatever the customer wants. And you don't always have to be creative, some people just want it plain and neat. So it's rather balanced. I can create fancy designs when I feel like it, and use them when I need them. I don't have to be creative on the spot.

You can still design it and have someone else draw it for you. I'm sure Nins can help you, she's an amazing artist as we all know! I know how you feel, though. I'm better using words than I am using drawing utensils as well.

That sounds very nice and balanced, indeed! I am glad you found something which keeps you occupied and is fun at the same time :)

I asked her when I wanted to get my last tattoo, but I changed my mind on the design completely xD Luckily she had not started yet xD

I've been to Holland just about 1 year ago, it was a really fun experience, I loved Leiden... *sigh*

Lucky indeed. What have you changed your idea to? :}

You know, I live next to Leiden, but it's been months since I've last been there as well xD
I think I was there in February, a week before I left for Sri Lanka, to go to the city spa. I actually thought of you when I was there. If I had known about it before you came to Leiden I'd have recommended it, because the pool has a beautiful view of the city. It's slap bang in the city center - on top of the central station, really xD

Does she still want to do it, though?
Maybe I should have asked her to draw my fox, instead of what happened now...
