I am in the same boat LOL
No self control when it comes to snacks XD
However I go through phases, like some months I don't want any snacks, and some days I just cannot stop snacking and buying more snacks. I'm totally a stress-eater D: I wish I can stress-sleep instead OTL

Lol I think I have some control when it comes to snacks.
My dad…eh. Me and my mom were just talking recently about how my dad would just eat all the ice cream whenever we buy it. XD;; like eat a bowl of it every night til it’s gone. My sister complained too, that someone had eaten all her specially bought ice cream. XD and my dad is all self righteous, saying “if you don’t want me to eat ice cream, you shouldn’t buy it” and we’re all like “how selfish of you”. Like my dad has to eat meds because of high blood sugar or something yet he still eats so much sweet stuff.

If that's bad for his health, he should definetely stop eating it.
That said, I kinda feel bad for your dad. I mean, I do the same. If I know it's in the house I can't help eating it. I wish I did not eat it - in my case because I don't want to gain weight - and I also feel extremely guilty when I do, but I just can't help it. It's stronger than me, it's something so strongly ingrained that it takes all my willpower to stay away from it for a day, and the next day I won't have any more strength and I'll give up.
And actually that's another reason why I don't like visiting my parents, they always have plenty of snacks and sweets in the house, and they keep offering to me and saying "oh, you can say no if you want" but it's not that easy v_v

Yeah he should really try to control himself. Sometimes he thinks like he’s doing it for the sake of everyone. Like “oh it’s taking up space in the fridge” and “you’re not even eating it when we have it”…iunno I guess he tries to justify his actions. ^^;;;
