I've only ever had fish. The shrimp are cute! I don't know how to take care of them. I have a kitten. Kittens are easy to take care of, and he's my emotional support pet.

I've 3 cats and the 6 shrimp
The shrimp are surprisingly easy to care for. they eat biofilm, algea, and other stuff that grows naturally in the tank. I feed them cucumbers and pellets too

I got the 5.5g heat up! FINALLY!! Had to turn my fan away from the desk tho >A< mah air circulation!!!

No, to put it very simply, what is happening is you have grown some ammonia eating bacteria. Like every living thing, that bacteria poops. What it poops out is nitrites. Eventually nitrite eating bacteria will start growing to eat the nitrites. It too will poop and what it poops out is nitrates.

o3o I failed science in school and yet I'm here doing science at home now. They shoulda just brought fish tanks and did science that way >w>
I now want to draw shrimpies playing cucumber cards x'D
xp i surviving some how.. got sleepy a few times and dozed off tho.. i think its cause my airflow is gone ><

It is an eggshell! >:D
apparently eggshells slowly dissolve in water and add calcium into the water. >:3 calcium is benificial to shrimp shells!
they've been nibbling on it, and the smaller bits i had tossed in o3o nomnom nomnom
