Japanese is very lovely but god too many kanjis too learn to be fluent... and it's not even simplified like chinese !
I kind of "discovered" hebrew a while ago (eurovison powa xD) and I'm seriously in love with this language. Now even though it's definitely not the kind of music I normally listen to, Harel Skaat is one of my favourite singers xD He apparently wants to release stuff for european music market but it's in english :(
(the eurovision song I'm talking about :mclove: )

Yeah, the kanjis kick your ass XD
I really like the look of hebrew alphabet. But I'm not particularly drawn to the language itself. It's okay though. I think I could pull it off if I had the time and energy XD Have different priorities atm... :qd:
This song is pretty good, nice for the ear. :qsml:

I also like Indian music and dance clips, I love their mass dancing scenes, it´s so cheerful and bright and beautiful.

(don´t like the Bollywood movies those are way to kitschy/ sugary.^^)

It's the thoughest for the lowest casts. As always. Many of the low cast people convert to Buddhism because of that. Or genrally to other religions. But in far past it actually did some good. It helped Aryans and indigenous peoples of India to live next to each other and not kill one another :qt: But still it's all pretty nasty to be honest.

Yeah, except they are still ascribed caste even after conversion :mcconf: Dalit Christians won't be buried in the same cemeteries as other Christians, for example.

@ memoriam:Wow that´s really strong and kind of you.
Sad that the worlds religions nearly want to kill each other.

I think we all believe in something higher, isn´t that the point all religions believe in, that there is something holding their hands upon us?

Well, not exactly, no.
There are some religions for which powers are not so much 'higher' as 'other' -some good, some bad, many of very small powers compared to humans, of all kinds of descriptions.
Or which ascribe all extraordinary forces to ancestral spirits, and the religious practices are half dealing with those who have passed on and half preparing yourself to become the power you will become after you have passed on...

There's a huge variety. Certainly the monotheistic ones all have that in common, however, and many of the polytheistic ones do as well.
Theistic religions in general usually do.

But not all religions have a concept of 'god' or 'gods' in the same fashion.

Also not all religions believe the power is higher in terms of any amount of control over our lives.
