Aha, okay then.

So what's her plan for her future, then? Since she lives in a time which values women primarily for primogeniture inheritance, and she's already gotten rid of her virginity?

That's as far as I have gotten (I only read a couple pages while waiting for a game I was playing). When I read a bit more, I'll add another spoiler for anyone who's curious!

I've been getting more into "The Empty House". The more I read, the more I like the protagonist. He's thrown into something that could be well over his head, but he's got such integrity that he doesn't even think of trying to duck out of it or turn it over to someone else. He's the one on the spot, so he'll deal with it, because it must be dealt with.
I love that.
I find it so appealing :qh:
Also, I really love his relationship with his mother (who suffers from paranoia)

Sanssouci, that story sounds indeed a little crazy! I hope she will change her mind and don't listen to that guy :o

Monthly challenges... Actually sounds super nice!

I will have a look at the thread later, thanks Sanssouci ^.^

Okay so I just finished Empty House and want to immediately reread it because there's a lot that I think were clues sprinkled along in there that I missed.
It's fun to see a protagonist
Spoiler
who gets caught up in spy stuff and doesn't seem to approve of it all; that was a nice change

Er, that needed to be spoiler'd, I think.
Anyhow!
I'll reread it later, on to the Invisible Library.

Spoiler
"oh I can be a spy! cool!"

and oh how I love books that are worth re-reading for details! :mclove:

I'm writing a review of "Starglass" and the more I think of it the more disappointed I am

Why are you so disappointed?

I also need to write more reviews! It's actually so much fun, but a little time consuming..

That's how I felt about Fall On Your Knees; as soon as I finished it, I was ready to read it again!

84 pages into Wideacre, and
Spoiler
she changed her mind about the plan to kill her father, but she wasn't able to get to the boy in time, and he killed her father!
