It took a while for me to get used to it because it doesn't have fixed hours, but I like it now. The actual work is fun, just the endless video calls for work are tiring.

That I can understand. Glad you like the job, having fun in your work is a must to stay mentally healthy. :}

Yeah, especially as we spend most of our day working, it really determines our quality of life!

Exactly.
The places we spend the most of our daily times should be relaxing and/or fun. Life's too short to be stressed out.
I've spend enough time with a stress disorder to know this. :}

I'm sorry that you've suffered a stress disorder :qsob: I've had a chronic digestive disordered that was triggered by prolonged stress, so I agree with you that stress should be avoided if we can help it. Unfortunately I had no idea how bad stress would affect me until it did. (And I was in high school, not yet a free adult, so although I knew stress couldn't be good for me there was not much I could do about it at that point).

Yeah, mine reared its ugly head while I was in school as well. Except my major symptom is severe depression and/or migraines.
In the end I had to quit school just to get healthy enough to have a reasonable life.
Now I'm a stay at home writer with a disability pay. :}

I'm glad you're able to put your wellbeing first now! And it's a good thing your govt. makes disability pay available for you to be able to take care of your health.

As am I. Used to mentally struggle with the whole not being 'normal enough to have a job' part, but I have come to terms with it.
And yes, I am glad it is one of the things my country does right. I read and hear so many horror stories about people like me in other countries.

Just realized I never actually asked what kind of job you have. Do you want to tell? :}

I write scripts for animated storybooks for kids. I work for a visual storytelling app basically!

What country are you from if you don't mind my asking? I'm Indian and depression isn't given disability pay here. Like you said that's a struggle for many in countries that don't offer that.

I'm Dutch (The Netherlands), and I am classified as having a Chronic Stress Disorder, which results in Migraine and/or Anxiety attacks.
If it had just been any of these on their own I'd not qualify for what I have either.

And Oh my heavens You have my bloody dream job!!!

I love writing. :}
