Of course they're valid, didn't say they weren't, breakups are always awful. And there will always be a massive gap between seeing things objectively from the sidelines and feeling things because you're right in the middle of things. Absolutely valid and I don't think I would feel any different from your friend.
But you were both saying you couldn't understand how he could stop caring all of the sudden so I felt the urge to give my tuppence is all. Things might turn out to be a little different once the smoke clears up. No human being just stops caring like that, but hurt comes out in a lot of different ways. Mainly saying that because I turn into a massive dick myself when I'm hurting and people often accuse me of being heartless and not caring, while the opposite is often true. Doesn't make the feelings any more or less valid then those of the ones who express them through tears, but they're quite often overlooked or pushed aside. It's just not as black and white as it may seem is all.

i get that. i'm a gemini moon so i keep trying to make emotions make sense, like, always trying to explain and justify emotions (my own as well as others). so if someone says 'they have zero deep attachments here' i will believe them. i won't think they mean anything other than what they said. but i'll struggle to understand how that is so. people can't always explain the truth of what they are feeling. they might not be able to explain their reasons. but if someone said that they don't have deep attachments WITHOUT meaning it, if what they really mean is that they have changed and want a different life now, i'll assume they meant what they said. and will feel more upset if i find out that their true reasons would have hurt me less the whole time.

so i guess i think that, if he does feel attached but wants to let go of his attachments here, he could say so. (with the caveat that we don't know what he actually said, but this is what we are told he said)

Oh, I kinda always assume someone means something different than they're saying. I think that has to do with the way I was raised. But not everyone knows exactly what it is they're feeling, either. Humans are complex and often plain stupid when it comes to emotions xD

I just made the most yummy mushroom shoarma.

ooo, drop the recipe!

It's quite simple really, just take oyster mushrooms, cut off a little dry edge of the bottom, and rip them shrooms to shreds. Put them in a bowl with olive oil, crush/cut up some garlic and add it to the bowl, and top it off with shoarma spice mix. I made my own with ground cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, ground kurkuma, salt and just a pinch of cinnamon. I would've added ground coriander if I had been able to find it in my cupboard, but I couldn't, so I think that would finish it off nicely xD
It was good without though. So mix mix mix, let that marinate for at least an hour and fry and serve it like you would with meat shoarma!

Honestly Merry if I was not utterly repulsed of mushrooms that would actually sound massively delicious. Might tell a friend of that recipe though, she loves mushrooms of all kinds. :}

Oh my, I love mushrooms. From traditional shrooms dishes like risotto, ragout and stuffed portobello to using it as a meat replacer like oyster mushroom fried chicken, mushroom shoarma and portobello steak... show me a mushroom and I'll show you a good time!
I'd love to get my grubby little hands on some Lion's Mane or Puffballs, but that's not easy to find here in The Netherlands...

i love mushrooms, they're juicy that sounds like a lovely marinade! i love crumb-fried mushrooms the best. they get realllyyyy juicy.

I'm not sure it's the juice I like, mostly the texture and hearty flavour. Yum
