I know her! c:
Why not go for it then? You'll have a lot of competition though, most people I know that cosplay, if they do buy instead of make everything themselves, they buy cheap things off Chinese make etc

I hope to find those small amount of people in between who have no skills, yet value good workmanship XD Well, after all, this is me myself in some areas. And was me before I started learning to embroider.

There are definitely people with an eye/knowledge of what real quality is, and what its worth c;
Usually the people who are serious about cosplaying will be more willing to spend what they know its worth to have a good cosplay.

I hope so. I've had a lot of people tell me so far about my more complex work, that they see why it's priced how it is and they think it's awesome, but they can't afford it XD It's like lift-lift-lift-stab of my heart XD

You do get the best deals on merch on Sunday though, when some dealers do a lil discount cause the con is nearly done c':
@Grey: I always see it as something to save up for! I do need to be able to convince myself that 'yes I really do need this and will wear/use it often' haha

I've gone both days before.
A lot of the time the discounts are because the stall holders just don't want to pack up as much merch XD
And tbh a lot of the time they still have discounts to their usual pricing anyway, like for those that have online stores.

I've had a few occassions where I'd spot something I like on Saturday, but decided to wait till Sunday thinking 'ok if its still there tomorrow I'll get it' and then end up with 5-10€ discounts on Sunday cause I've waited long enough :'P
Its a risk ofc cause sometimes they're snatched up before I decide but last time I had a small loot list and checked the prices online for the same products when I got home. I got a cheaper price than online for 9/10 items c:
Best thing is ofc to do your research, esp if you know you're going to be looking for a specific kind of merch and such

I try to though it's hard to get anime merch here except online. Though amiami is the best site for me to go buy anime figures from.

I have one or two sites where I keep track of the latest releases of merch (Tranformers models and figurines) and so when I go to a con I usually have a baseline of prices in my mind. I'll know when something is ridiculously marked up.
Sadly cons here usually offer all the same figures, or just not ones I'm hyped about.
I like to get more fanmade stuff at cons anyhow, I love fanart and fanmade merch. At MCM 70% of my budget will be going to the artist alley cause there'll be actual Transformers artists as guests so I'll be raiding their tables for prints and commissions c':
