I don't consider it censoring history if they want to censor the racial slurs.
Removing it completely and acting like it never happened is censoring history.

I remember when I was a kid, my dad told me about Hitler. But he told me something along the lines of "Once, there was a king and he wanted everyone to look like him." and explained the Holocaust to me that way.
